This book addresses major proteases ubiquitin and/or SUMO proteases involved in posttranslational modification of proteins.  The difficulty of assigning substrate specificity to the individual deubiquitylases (DUBs), selectivity for processing ubiquitin polychains, and defining substrate profiles for the different SUMO proteases.
