This volume has been significantly reorganized and updated to focus specifically on therapeutic apheresis. Content addressing donor apheresis and cellular therapy are addressed in separate volumes. The first half of the book covers the history of therapeutic apheresis, current instrumentation, basic principles, clinical consultation, and patient management. The second half of the book covers disease-specific applications of therapeutic apheresis in hematologic, neurologic, renal, rheumatologic, and endocrine disorders; transplantation; and vascular and cardiac disorders.
