The book consists of 2 indivisible Volumes, and provides a collection of typical engineering problems, consisting in 1D nonlinear models of increasing complexity, such as:  planar/non-planar, extensible/inextensible,  prestressed/unprestressed beams, isolated or constituting frames, as well as strings and cables under static, dynamic, travelling and aerodynamic forces.  Problems are solved via perturbation and/or numerical approaches.
